Apple’s iOS 16 has been available to install on iPhones since September 12, 2022, but while tons of new features arrived in September, and even more in the months that followed. Apple’s now launched iOS 17, so there won’t be new features for iOS 16, but you can expect security updates to continue to arrive when they are necessary. iOS 16.7 brings “important bug fixes and security updates and is recommended for all users,” according to Apple. If you have installed this update it will show on your iPhone as iOS 16.4.1 (a). iOS 16.4 arrived on March 27 and included the Apple Music Classical support, a Home update new emoij an update to Podcasts and more. Along with the temporary Home update, iOS 16.2 brought a new karaoke feature to Apple Music, improved the always-on display on iPhone 14 Pro, and introduced the Freeform app. These are the new features that arrived with the first major update to iOS 16.
